![]() ![]() What I've done is left my old Xbox 360 adaptor connected in the second USB port, then you can have up to 3 xbox 360 pads connected to that (if you need more than 1 player). One drawback is the Mayflash can only work with 1 Bluetooth LE controller so you can't have 4 Xbox One controllers connected to it. Also, the Xbox Controller can still be used with my xbox by double tapping the connect button on the controller to switch between connection to the TV or the Xbox. This will now work fine with the old steam link app. Set the mayflash to X-Input mode (green LED) and pair the Xbox controller. ![]() My fix is to use a Mayflash Magic-NS Lite USB bluetooth adaptor, available from Amazon for around £10-£15. Recently tried to use an Xbox Series X Bluetooth controller connected to TV but had same issues with button mapping being wrong. I have a Samsung Q70 (non-T so older model) with a very old version of the Steam Link app which has not been updated for several years but works fine with Xbox 360 wireless adaptor plugged into TV USB port. I have a fix for this if anyone is still looking. Their service team will respond in one to two days after reviewing my description of the issue.Įdit 2: I've been referred to contact the controller manufacturer. I'll update if the escalation goes anywhere.Įdit 1: I've been contacted through email to schedule a service. Let me escalate this to my next-level team, they will contact you with the perfect solution, to escalate please help me with your full name and email ID." And as you said yes to before you will provide the previous firmware in the meantime? "In this case, I will quickly go ahead and forward the case to the higher authority/top-level team, they’ll contact you within 24-48 business hours to fix this issue, please share your full name and email address to forward the case" In dealing with Samsung support, Right off the bat I requested an earlier firmware download which they said was an option, but then quickly backed out on it. I've switched to doing this in the meantime since the Samsung app is unusable. Update 12/16: If you're not aware, you can get Steam Link fully supported running on a laptop, raspberry pi, etc, and output to the TV with an Xbox wireless controller. Update 12/8: I posted to Samsung support here, please signal boost with likes/comments. Update 12/8: I bought a Logitech F710 controller to see if that would work (it says it does on the support page), but that has the same problem too. Is anyone else encountering this, or, able to use an Xbox Controller via the Samsung Steam Link app just fine? However, I suspect the latest client release included a regression that now passes through the right joystick to the TV, resulting it in adjusting the volume, even in-game. It seems that the Steam client intercepts button presses (ie, pressing the setting button will bring up the settings unless the Steam Link app is open). The latest client I have is the Dec 1 release, which contains a lot of controller adjustments, including "Fixed controllers being treated as Xbox One controllers by default when defining their layout". ![]() The Steam Link app hasn't changed recently. My version of the Samsung TV software, and the Steam Link app have not changed recently. Ie, running, looking around will quickly turn the volume to 100%. So it's definitely that screen that is screwing things up in some way.I use Steam via the Steam Link app on my Samsung TV (model QN65QN85DAFXZA), powered by an Xbox One controller (which connects to the TV via bluetooth).Īfter installing the latest Steam client, the right control stick on the Xbox controller modifies the volume in game (while also performing the in-game action), essentially making any game unplayable. If I hack the Win 10 host registry to prevent the lock screen overlay image from appearing, I have no trouble. If I walk to the host PC and hit a key or click the mouse to slide away the lock screen image, the login screen suddenly appears on my streaming device and my kbd/mouse work. When I use ANY of those to try connect to my (locked) Win 10 host PC, I get a black screen with mouse cursor, but my local input devices (kbd/mouse/touch) do not work at all. I don't have a Steam Link but I do use in-home streaming, and have just installed the Steam Link app on both my Nvidia Shield TV and my Galaxy S8+ phone. "Added support for connecting to locked Windows computers, as long as Steam is running and you have access to a keyboard." Somehow I missed it in beta but I just noticed that the latest official Steam Client update includes a LONG OVERDUE feature under "Steam Link and In-Home Streaming": TL DR: Can't get to the login screen of a locked PC from the Steam Link app unless the lock screen is dismissed at the host PC by clicking or hitting a key. ![]()
